Solidarity During COVID-19

We trust this notification finds you well considering the current conditions with COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

Oscor Inc. continues operating according to local directives while our facilities and personnel continue abiding by CDC guidelines. Our personnel is working diligently to prevent transmission while maintaining healthy operations and a steady supply chain. As you know, Oscor Inc. is a manufacturer of vital medical devices, assemblies and components. As such, Oscor Inc. operations are categorized as an “Essential Business” and allowed to continue to operate our normal schedule. We are very fortunate that our personnel is healthy , remains committed and in attendance to support our operations and customers.

Oscor management team continues to monitor our business continuity emergency plan and are making adjustments as required. As of today, we remain fully operational and have experienced minimal interruptions to our manufacturing, and shipments continue as planned.

FAQ FROM OUR CUSTOMERS:

  1. WHAT PREVENTATIVE MEASURES IS YOUR COMPANY TAKING TO PREVENT A COVID-19 INCIDENT IN YOUR MANUFACTURING SITES AS WELL AS YOUR SUB-TIER SUPPLIERS?
    • As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to evolve, we are committed to doing everything we can to keep our staff, their families, and our external partners safe. We are also committed to continuing to deliver an uninterrupted supply of our devices for the patients who need them.We have activated our business continuity plans to avoid or minimize any business disruptions and ensure the well-being of our staff. At this time, as most businesses around the globe, we don’t exactly know the precise extent to which COVID-19 (coronavirus) will continue to spread and impact society. Although we cannot rule out future impact on our business including sales, distribution and manufacturing, we have put in a company-wide awareness and prevention program in place following the recommendations gathered from the CDC (Center for Disease Control) and WHO (World Health Organization), in order to limit the spread of COVID-19 within our facilities.
  2. WHAT IS YOUR COVID-19 PROTOCOL IN CASE OF AN OCCURRENCE AT YOUR SITE?
    • In the very undesired case of a COVID-19 occurrence at an Oscor site, the internal company emergency plan takes effect where the person / employee would be is immediately removed from the facility and transported to a local health care provider. All staff within the affected work area would be quarantined and also referred to a local health provider for testing. The “Controlled Room Incident Assessment and Action Procedure” indicates the guidelines to be followed in cases such as these, outlining a special work surface and area cleaning to be conducted and documented, along with special environmental monitoring and controls to be conducted and documented before resuming any manufacturing operations.
  3. WHAT IS YOUR BACK UP PLAN IF THERE IS AN OCCURRENCE?
    • As with all companies around the world, the COVID-19 pandemic is causing significant concern and casting uncertainty around business practices and operations, and Oscor is no exception to this reality. However, as of the present moment, no significant issues have been observed in any Oscor facility regarding unavailability of workforce and / or excessive employee absenteeism. In the case that this does become an unavoidable reality, Oscor is prepared to take measures to immediately source temporary staff within normal and / or off shifts.
  4. HAVE YOU IDENTIFIED ANY RISKS BASED ON THE CURRENT SITUATION WITHIN YOUR SUPPLY CHAIN (ABSENTEEISM, MISSED SHIPMENTS, DECREASED PRODUCTION DUE TO UNAVAILABILITY OF WORKFORCE)? 
    • As with all companies around the world, the COVID-19 pandemic is causing significant concern and casting uncertainty around business practices and operations, and Oscor is no exception to this reality. However, as of the present moment, no significant issues have been observed in any Oscor facility regarding unavailability of workforce and / or excessive employee absenteeism. In the case that this does become an unavoidable reality, Oscor is prepared to take measures to immediately source temporary staff within normal and / or off shifts.
  5. SAFETY STOCK POSITION AS IT RELATES TO RAW MATERIALS
    • Oscor manufactures 100% of our devices and about 85% of the components and subassemblies used on our products, thereby providing additional stability to our supply chain. Based on current raw material inventory levels, Oscor does not anticipate, at this time, any major delays in supply chain or a shortage of materials and components due to COVID-19. Nevertheless, we are very closely monitoring our raw material inventory levels and taking additional measures to mitigate against any supply interruptions.
  6. IS THERE AN OPPORTUNITY TO SHIP EARLY AS YOUR PRODUCTION SCHEDULE ALLOWS? 
    • Oscor is already making arrangement with customers to ship available product early where permitted. In addition, where allowed Oscor’s supply chain is constructed with enough safety that early shipments could be a possibility.
