The KY is a low profile implantable bipolar fixed screw-in permanent pacing lead for stimulation of either the atrium or the ventricle. The KY lead is supplied with a screwdriver shape stylet which is used to fixate the lead. The ring tip and fixation screw are electrically active. The KY is available in either Polyurethane or Silicone outer insulation and comes in lengths ranging from 44cm up to 70cm. The unipolar version can be introduced through a 6F introducer (minimum).

Features
For Placement
of the Lead in the Atrium or Ventricle:
The lead is fixated in the ventricle by turning the inserted straight screwdriver
stylet 2-3 turns. The lead is fixated in the atrium by turning the lead over
the preformed J shape positioning stylet (silicone version only).
Quadrifilar
Conductor Coil:
Like all Oscor permanent pacing leads, the KY conductors use a quadrifilar
coil design providing maximum flexibility with long term reliability.
Flexible
Tip and Screw Design:
The distal tip section between tip electrode (cathode) and ring electrode
(anode) is highly flexible to prevent perforation into the myocardium. The
helix (screw) is sharpened using a proprietary process to allow easy implantation.
Sensing:
Short bipolar electrode spacing for improved sensing
